The Airdrie Mission took place the 1st-5th April. There had been a lot of prayer and a lot of preparation ahead of time. 15,000 leaflets inviting people to the Mission had been distributed throughout Airdrie by 43 people from the Airdrie, Edinburgh, and Glasgow churches as well as a RPCI Go Team. Husbands, wives, parents, siblings, children, friends, neighbours had all been asked to come.
We are thankful to the Lord for all the ways in which He blessed us and answered prayers during this week. People did come in from the community, friends and family of some in the congregation were there, and the Gospel was clearly and faithfully preached to the benefit of all who were there.
The theme for the week was ‘Jesus Christ: Changes Lives For Eternity’, and Rev. Andrew Quigley preached from John 5:1-17; Luke 19:1-10; Mark 4-5; Luke 23:26-43, and Acts 22:1-16. He spoke on sin and our need to be healed, on the danger of hardening your heart, on the power of Christ to change you for all eternity, on the future that awaits us, and on how no one is beyond the power of Christ to save.
