The First Week: The mission team arrived from our various states throughout the week traveling through Glasgow to Airdrie Reformed Presbyterian Church, our home base for the rest of the Missions trip. After finding our bunks and organizing the important duties of cooking and laundry, the team participated in Kid’s Club and Covenanter Youth Friday evening. We also enjoyed the hospitality of the Muir’s, who provided hot chocolate, crisps, and laughter, warming us from Friday night’s adventures. On Saturday, the team fought off jetlag by visiting Loch Lomond, exploring the countryside around Luss, and trying Irn Bru for the first time – which was found to be delicious and has been added to the weekly shopping list. Sunday morning and evening the team worshiped with the Airdrie congregation. We split up for lunch, half the team visiting the Quigley’s, the other, the McCollum’s. The day was filled with preaching of the Word, praising God with the singing of Psalms, and fellowshipping over tasty food, tea, and biscuits. Finding ourselves refreshed and ready for the next week, we look forward meeting up with our missing team member Shea, who will arrive Thursday. Yay! We will also be preparing our testimonies and presentations for schools. We are excited to see what God has in store for us. Till next time, Alissa Terpstra
