Before the Covenanters, before John Knox and the Reformation in Scotland, even before Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door in Wittenberg, there were a group of people in Scotland known as “The Lollards of Kyle”.
The Lollards of Kyle were followers of John Wycliffe, the Morning Star of the Reformation, and they were mainly from Kyle in Ayrshire. They sought reform of the Roman Catholic Church and to provide the Bible in the language of their own people.
