Junior Camps

This year Jacob Alexander from the Airdrie congregation, Elena Maclennan from the Glasgow congregation, and Daniel Hall, a friend of the Stranraer congregation, attended the Irish RP Boys Adventure and Girls Adventure Camps. We asked them some questions about their time away.

What was something you learned or that really made an impression on you from the talks?

Daniel: One of the things I learned was how to witness through the talks by the officers.

Elena: I learned a lot more about Rahab and how her life was changed from being a prostitute to her bringing up her children to be Jews including Boaz who married Ruth. I also enjoyed learning about the archeological evidence of her house not being destroyed at the destruction of Jericho.

Jacob: I learned that you don’t just pray once for something but to be persistent in prayer.

What was your favourite activity?

Daniel: My favourite activity was the swimming because there were all the slides.

Elena: My favourite activity was the messy games where we got covered in paint, eggs, and shaving cream.

Jacob: I liked going to the swimming pool and the water sports at Castlewellan.

What was your favourite thing about camp?

Daniel: My favourite thing about camp was being around Christian people my age.

Elena: I really enjoyed the discussion groups and getting back together with Christian friends.

Jacob: My favourite things were the talks and meeting up with my friends.
