Airdrie Deacon Ordination

This past Lord’s Day (the 29th of January) was a really good day in the life of Airdrie RPCS. For many years now, we’ve only had one deacon in Airdrie, Grant Alexander. It has been a matter of much prayer, for many years, both on the part of the Session and the congregation that God would raise up men to be elders and deacons, and we rejoice at the beginnings of these prayers being answered. Following a deacon election in November, Mr Jimmy Fisher was unanimously chosen by the congregation to be a deacon. He agreed to take on this role, the Session then met with Jimmy and found him sound in faith and godliness and agreed to move ahead with ordination on the 29th January.
