Presbytery Meeting

The Scottish Presbytery met on the 14th March.  Rev. Stephen Steele concluded his year as Moderator, and Rev. Stephen McCollum is the new Moderator.

The Presbytery heard reports from the various committees of Presbytery, as well as hearing a financial report from our treasurer.

The Gambia interim Session has been meeting to interview prospective members of the RP Church in The Gambia.  Rev. Peter Loughridge and Rev. Stephen McCollum will go out to the Gambia in May and ordain and induct Rev. Sylvester Konteh as well as organise the church there into a Reformed Presbyterian Church within the Scottish Presbytery.

The Session minute books from 2022 were examined.  While this may seem a mundane task it is an important one to ensure that Session business is done decently and in order.

It was encouraging to see the healthy position the RPCS is in financially.  There was an increase in income from the two rental properties.  Reformation Tours is also doing well after very few Tours in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid.  2022 saw a large number of Tours, and we hope to see the same for 2023.

We are thankful for all the ways in which the Lord has provided for us over the past year.
