From mid-June to the beginning of July was a busy time for the Airdrie congregation as we had the American Mission Team, the Kids Club…
From the 26th-28th January, Jacob Alexander from Airdrie RPC and Elena MacLennan from Glasgow RPC attended the Irish RP Adventure Camp Reunion. We asked them some questions about their time in Northern Ireland.
What was something you learned or that really made an impression on you from the talks?
Elena – At camp reunion we studied Mary and Martha and learned “how to be a Mary in a Martha world”.
Jacob – Nathan Hawthorne gave talks based on Daniel 1 about how to be a Christian in a hostile world. Something that made an impression was the point that I should respond to temptation with obedience to God and confidence in my faith.
What was your favourite activity?
Elena – My favourite activity was when we went swimming and we played ball games in the water.
Jacob – My favourite activity was going swimming and talking with Christian friends.
What was your favourite thing about camp?
Elena – My favourite thing about camp was seeing my friends from Northern Ireland again.
Jacob – My favourite thing about camp reunion was spending time with friends that I don’t see often.
