Stranraer’s ‘Kansas Mission Team’

In March Stranraer RPC hosted a ‘Kansas Mission Team’ – 2 men from the churches Stephen had preached in during the summer (Shawnee and Winchester) came to join Bob & Rita, who are with us for 3 months. The team were with us for two Lord’s Days. The majority of the week in between was spent doing practical work (mostly painting) around the church building. The team’s visit coincided with World Book Day, for which we set up a table in the town centre offering free Bibles or gospels of Mark. We were encouraged at the response – 48 Bibles were given out, along with around 20 gospels. It was interesting that some people came up and asked for Bibles, having seen our banner, rather than simply taking them because they were offered. The team finished with a Covenanter Tour to Wigtown and Glentrool.
