Presbytery met on the 12th June and in addition to the regular business of the meeting that afternoon, the evening portion was dedicated to greetings from the American and Irish RP Churches and a lecture from Rev. Kenneth Stewart on the faithful ministry. Those from the Scottish RP Churches had been encouraged to attend, and there were people there from each of the 5 congregations in Scotland. Rev. Noah Bailey brought greetings from the American RP Church highlighting the benefits of co-operation between our two denominations both in things like those from America coming to help the Stranraer congregation and Rev. Ian Gillies coming from Scotland to America. Rev. Robert McCollum brought greetings from the Irish RP Church highlighting the need to pray for ministers as they are facing many empty pulpits. Rev. McCollum also thanked the Witness Bearing Committee for the example they set in their recent letter to the King, MPs, and MSPs. Rev. Kenneth Stewart then spoke on 1 Corinthians 3 and faithfulness in the ministry. After the service there was time to fellowship over tea and coffee.
