Senior Camp Reunion

This year Jacob from Airdrie, Elena from Glasgow, and Hannah from North Edinburgh were able to attend the Irish RPC Senior Camp Reunion. We were able to ask them a bit about their time there.

What was something you learned or that really made an impression on you from the talks?

Hannah: I think the main thing that really stood out was that we’re all different, and that helps us fit in and feel like we’re a part of something in the church in that everyone has different strengths, and you don’t have to be loud and confident to serve each other and share the gospel, you can also be quiet and reserved. Showing his light through you helps others come to Christ, and knowing that they’re not alone and being different is important.

Jacob: The life changing voice of God. God’s voice is so powerful that it made the universe and can also turn the hardest of hearts into the most tender and loving.

Elena: The talks were about mission work and gave good advice on how we can speak to the people around us about Christ and the Gospel which has encouraged me to talk more to my friends about my faith.

What was your favourite activity?

Hannah: My favourite activity was probably going bowling on a Saturday and then having free time with friends afterwards.

Jacob: ⁠I enjoyed doing a ‘winter olympics’ activity which included the luge, skiing and curling.

Elena: My favourite activity was Biddy Up which was a very fun team game.

What was your favourite thing about camp?

Hannah: My favourite thing was seeing all my friends again and being able to spend time with them and catch up over what’s happened in the past couple months since Camp and just kind of being with people who I can relate to and being with other young Christians.

Jacob: ⁠Talking to Christians my age and learning more about how we can be mission minded.

Elena: I enjoyed seeing my friends again and making new friends too.
